Thinking of starting a business?

Do you already own a business?

South End Business Association, Inc., established in 1982, was formed to support small business in the south end of New Bedford. SEBA seeks through guidance, information and education to strengthen economic development for small businesses, their employees and entrepreneurs already in or wishing to be in a small business.

Operating as a nonprofit corporation supported by the City of New Bedford Community Development Block Grants, membership and fundraising; SEBA is here to assist persons seeking assistance in a business matter as well as offering use of office equipment, conference room and bulk mail rates to members.

Besides assisting south end small businesses SEBA also provides scholarships for students within our boundaries and supports many other organizations throughout the City of New Bedford.

Why should you become a member?

As a member of SEBA you will have access to all the resources we have to offer such as; direct connection with City Hall, State and Federal Government and funding sources. We also offer use of our fax, copy and desk-top folding machines. Internet access is available and our Bulk Mail Permit may be utilized.

Members are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings. Through these meetings you are able to acquire information on Community Developments and how they will affect the city as well as the south end. You will also hear of many projects within the city that you may become involved with if you choose to. Attending meetings you will meet other members and have opportunity to network with business owners, such as yourself, within your community.
